RON KNOWLES
Ron Knowles is a Director of Western
Management Consultants. His consulting interests and experience are related to
corporate organization in such areas as:

Mr. Knowles received his B.A. degree with a major in
Psychology and his M.B.A. from the University of Toronto. With the T. Eaton Company he
gained substantial experience in human resource management including assignments as Area
Personnel Manager, Company Offices and as Area Personnel Manager, British Columbia and
Alberta Stores.
With Beaver Lumber Company Limited, he was Vice President
of Personnel and then Senior Vice President, Group Services in which role he had
responsibility for all corporate office functions including Strategic Business planning,
Real Estate, Information Systems, Legal Services and Human Resources. In 1980 he
became Senior Vice President, Home Centres, responsible for the management of
Beaver’s Urban Home Centre Business.
Prior to joining Western Management Consultants, Mr.
Knowles was a principal with another major national management consulting firm. Mr.
Knowles is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Ontario. He was a
Director of the Human Resource Professionals Association of Ontario and past Vice
President of the Industrial Relations Management Association of British Columbia. Mr.
Knowles was a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the United
Way of Greater Toronto and active in United Way’s Multiculturalism and Anti-racism
initiatives.
He is on the Faculty of the Advanced Program hi Managing
Strategic Change at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
